I came across this on Twitter. I realize it might just be a marketing ploy by Microacquire, but I still find events like these (such as Ludum Dare) that impose some kind of a restriction inspiring.
> Hey build something for our unknown brand without us paying you anything.

It is marketing. Its opaque and quite insulting. Especially with the "accountability" clause.

Its on same tier as the "looking for developers to make new facebook, will pay when we profitable" deals decades ago.

> I'm insulted by all marketing

They're transparent about the MicroAcquire affiliation and the goal is a crash-course in business building and just $100 MRR. That is far from "building facebook" level.

This is a marketing event for Microaquire, with no prize at the end.
There are still benefits to participation, e.g. Getting boosted engagement / eyeballs to your product from the hashtag hype train.

You can also participate unofficially to get motivation to build a profitable business on a time limit

Anyone used microaquire on the buy side or sell side? If so would love to hear your experience?

I’ve got a few side projects I was going to throw on.

Didn’t this start Jan 1st and is now over?
I guess it might be a periodic event then, but there’s one that just started today at least.
