Wikipedia, such as simple yet effective design that's been working well for over a decade.
Youtube is fine: enter a search, choose a time period, disable auto-play.

I'd also say my own hackerer.news since I visit HN too much and it helps me cut down by seeing that there's nothing new to see.

StackOverflow is so much better than other Q&A sites. As well as the Reddit compact/classic view.

I think my preference is generally less design is good design: form follows function. Basically don't do all the bad things that are done on the sites with poor or too much Design.
