So it has taken 2 years for a laptop released in 2022 to be finally 'faster' than the M1 Macbook.

By the time that has happened, an M2 MacBook would set this machine back once again.

I would prefer a written review than a video, but videos seem to be increasingly popular. Do YT ads pay more than written?
Almost certainly, a well-done YT can get tremendous reach.
There is a huge disincentive against making well-done (i.e. concise and to the point) YT's, since YT's recommender system prioritizes long vids. So "faster than M1" could be handled in 2 seconds by giving both geekbench scores or whatever. Instead a YT review is likely to beat around the bush for 10+ minutes before giving usable info like that. Note: I haven't watched this review so don't know if it's like that. Maybe someone can post a tl-dw.

Honestly, I refuse to watch any review-type video without chapters so I can jump to what I'm interested in. If you're going to stop giving me written articles, then at least give me the same damn functionality and ease of use.
