We are buying a vacation home in Florida while we travel the country for a few years and stay in AirBnb’s while I work remotely. The rest of the time it will be a rented out for short term rentals. It’s going to be our official home and where we stay in the winter.
It’s strictly because it’s a tax free state and warm.
When we decide to settle down, we may move back to our current home - which will also be rented out - or sell and move to Florida permanently.

[ 2.4 ms ] story [ 12.5 ms ] threadI went to Orlando and Tampa last month and found them very affordable.
My friend lives here: https://www.apartmentfinder.com/Florida/Tampa-Apartments/Oak...
I saw a 2 bedroom condo was $1,300 2 miles from the beach in Clearwater.
I do know that Miami is now pretty unaffordable. I know nothing about the other places mentioned in the article (naples)
