Is this pet-friendly? Dogs can hear in excess of 50 kHz, the article states >=32 kHz carriers.
That’s a good question. Does anyone have an answer or argument for why this wouldn’t be disturbing to cats and dogs?
These home assistants are getting freakier by the day.
Just yesterday I was trying to figure out how to trigger my smart LED lights to turn on when the Echo Show detects movement. Doesn’t seem like it’s possible though and I thought it might be because of potential fallout if Amazons own product is used to trigger a device to deleterious effect.
Even if I can't hear it, I'm not keen on the possible impact of smart speakers screaming at >32 kHz all the time, for the marginal gain of it being able to play a cute sound when I walk into the room
