Nectome MVP

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone from YC knew what kind of MVP Nectome used to demonstrate what they were trying to do with preserving consciousness? I have an idea for a similar startup, but am not sure how to build an MVP on a low budget - so just looking for some ideas. Thanks.
