I got as far as a sign up screen and then left.

I can't see if anyone else is on the platform or what they are offering.

I don't trust you enough to sign up yet.

You are sending verification emails from a gmail account and gmail is flagging the email as phishing, you must switch to a noreply@youbarter.com
Maybe relatedly, I tried signing up using a fastmail address and never received email confirmation. When I tried having it resent, I got an error popup "Failed to send email. An error occured on our email server. Please try again or contact us."
Not a noreply. I hate noreply. Why not "hello@" or "support@" or something -- anything -- with a human being behind it? :(
Design language is great.

Improvements:

- What can I barter? Why not show items available for bartering. I won't sign up unless I know what I'm signing up for - Navigation should always be on top even if it looks better somewhere else. User behavior trumps aesthetics in some cases - Remove the expanding buttons!!! It is very unintuitive! They do not need further explaining - About us page is very small. Go into more detail about yourself and the product. You need to gain trust as well as demonstrate clear goals for what your product is, why it is necessary, and so on.

The site needs lots of improvements. Try taking a look at other similar product categories and see what they are doing to fill their site and make it more polished.

It seems too bare for me personally and I wouldn't look into it further without examples of the product.

Nah, the bottom is more functional. Don’t change it.

You’re breaking a basic user expectation while delivering little value. I say don’t reinvent the wheel and put navigation where everyone expects it.
I second showing the available items. There’s little incentive to sign up at the moment.
Can I barter with money?
I wonder if I can barter USD for cryptocurrencies? Or other normal currencies?
Tried to sign up but nothing happened after agreeing to the tos. Couldn't log in either. Needs some feedback in a failure state at minimum.
Flagged solely for the link to product-hunt.

It feels like you're calling for votes there, rather than showing off your project in good-faith for the audience here.
