To be fair, when I'm at work it's 3am in China, too.
Given what I've heard about working at Tesla, it comes across as unsurprising that Musk isn't really big on the whole workers rights thing.

After all, if those workers were smart and had high IQs, they would be CEOs, not workers! (/s)

He's welcome to up and move the company, or just build new plants and close or let the existing ones atrophy. He's welcome to become a Chinese company, although he better talk to the head of Alibaba(?) before doing so about their economic retreat properties. Or, given the unrest in the market over the last week or two, he better complete his Twitter purchase and return to caretaking Tesla before he's way poorer.
