They have a CS degree and haven't heard the term "nonce" (in the "used only once" sense) until now?

The first part of the article is about poor UX on Coinbase, the second about poor UX on Opensea. Good points, but the title is purposefully vague to imply that actually using crypto is hard. There are things to buy other than NFTs with ETH, and you can do it without going through all the steps of creating a new wallet on a centralized exchange, etc.

I’m working on a project involving Visa Tokenization Services where nonce is used. However, the no replay aspect is not there in Visa’s use of nonce. Instead there is just a signed expiring token (nonce) that must be verified.
Even if you hate NFTs, their purpose is not to be a pleasure in your ass. If over time they become easier to use, that is just a bonus.
