So will he move to repeal egregious NEW taxes that have been heaped upon residents, like the extra gas tax applied a few years ago with the lie that it was necessary for road maintenance (CA already has massive gas taxes for that)?

There should also be windfalls (for counties, I guess) derived from home sales and the explosive increase in prices, which drive massive, automatic, and immediate increases in property taxes in CA.

No, this surplus will go to DIE initiatives and environmentalist lobbyists, in the best case. And no, I don't have evidence that I can share. Screen cap this post and come back in a few years I guess. Or flag it and pretend, whatever.

I love how they call it a budget surplus, it isn’t. It is as you say, residents were over taxed by $100B, which won’t be returned to them. Which is terrible government, not good-great government.
