In all seriousness. Social media is dominated by liberal/left groups. This makes it hard for centrists and conservatives to converse.
Just look at the Trump ban. Nobody did anything when he was doing harmful things. Once he lost power, the social media companies did a huge BS PR stunt and banned him. And everybody was like YAAY. That was useless IMO and that was political. It sets a dangerous precedence. It sets precedence for the right to do the same in a different scenario. And the left will be up in arms like right. A never ending cycle.
The problem is, nobody is interested in solving these problems. Everybody likes to divide people further and make the issues worse. That is not helping anyone other than our own ego. If the goal is peace that is.
There are alternative platforms like Mastodon. The right would be banning as well. I was banned from Gab for "leftist" speech and they say they pride themselves on free speech. It isn't a left vs right issue. I think when it comes to technology, the left are just more skilled because the party isn't primarily religious zealots.
