very interested to hear more on how cloudflare are participating in r&d (is it just running validators? or developing clients? or more technical things to do with scale)
also curious if cloudflare are planning to tap into the infura/alchemy market?
My guess is they're looking at the node interconnect side similar to what Bloxroute is doing. This infrastructure will be extremely important as blockchains grow in size and speed; CDN-type utilities will be needed to broadcast transactions on the network, prevent DOS attacks, receive notifications from events on the network, and more.
Didn't know they had a gateway. at least there will be competition to infura till stateless clients allow running clients through browsers/wallets directly
