I literally bought a wedding gift for a family friend this morning on a site called prezola. Hopefully they are not related to this company.
For our wedding my fiancée wrote a basic frontend on netlify and let people reserve gifts with a checkbox using a basic API that stored the reserved status in JSON. We did it for free with no monetary transaction support. I wonder how much these sites cost.
