MacBook won't charge fully to save battery life (twitter.com)

This is cool! I want to maximize battery life, and I’m almost always plugged in, so keeping the battery at 80% is fine with me.

Though it would be awesome if I could say “I normally use my laptop on battery on weekends, so ensure it’s fully charged before X AM Saturday.”

I've been manually trying to manage my Ego power tool batteries this way, but it would be really nice to be able to tell them to not charge above 80% or run below 20%, and not have to think about it. The $300-$400 batteries are worth protecting. My first Ego 5AH battery only lasted 4 years of mowing, which doesn't seem like a lot.
