Call for Tech Action: let's do something to protect schools?

Dear fellow hacker news friends: there must be some feasible technology solutions that help saving lives in school shooting scenarios? For instance, how about using remote controlled drones to distract shooters for a few minutes? A few seconds of delay might save some lives? Look forward to seeing your thoughts here or ping me privately to discuss/brainstorm (hopelab22 at gmail)

Arm teachers and students.
Yeah! I mean clearly if those 4th graders were armed all would be good...
This is not a tech solution. But if a non-tech solution works and is feasible to implement, that would be great. Not sure if you are serious or being sarcastic... this might prevent mass shooting but total fatality over time due to kids upset and using weapon at a moment of impulse would be a lot higher?
Schools used to have shooting teams in some places. I'm sure there were instances where kids misused those guns; but there doesn't seem to be a lot of cases.

I carried a knife through high school, I wasn't supposed to have it but there were a couple occasions that being armed made the difference between a tense discussion and a full on brawl. Jocks vs geeks was nasty in the 80s.
