I don't think I quite understand these projects. Will they be able to match Linux's battery life and software support? What can these do that Linux can't?
It would be interested to see a list of use cases that would benefit from FORTH.
I did, I just can't think of any concrete scenario where hackability would be needed. It sounds like the kind of thing that would be useful in theory, but in the non-collapsed world Linux seems to be able to do everything people need.
I'm sure there's a reason for the simplicity, but it's not immediately obvious to people who haven't put a lot of thought into life without full access to modern tech.
