Ask HN: Phonetics-to-Speech Software?

1 points by xcambar ↗ HN
Hello, A recent entry in HN (https://xournalpp.github.io/) shows the phonetics of the name to avoid confusion. Kudos to the authors but at the same time, I can't help but think that most people (myself included) can't properly read phonetics.

I thought HN would be a good place to share tips on the availability, or lack thereof, of a service or software that would accept phonetics notation as input to then output audio.

Thanks for any contribution, cheers!

It's strange because there are many English -> IPA and some English -> fake-phonetics (like Ehn-gleesh foh-neh-teeks, or something like that)

The only one I found similar to what you want is http://ipa-reader.xyz/

Thanks, it worked well for my 2-entry example dataset :)
