After many years denigrating drivers and owners of SUVs ('Toorak Tractors', 'Balmain Bulldozers', etc), I find I am hoist by my own petard.

My wife has been forced become a user of a mobility scooter to allow her some means of movement. To be light enough and compact enough, that mobility scooter has to be disassembled for transport, then re-assembled when we arrive somewhere. We started off with a normal sedan/saloon car with a trunk/boot that was too small to allow us to carry the scooter without its parts overflowing from the boot to the back seat.

We were, in effect, downgraded to having only a two-seater car. The solution, to my utter disgust, was for us to obtain one of those nasty SUVs because of its larger cargo space.

So, please don't deflate SUV tyres. We owners are very likely to be on your side.

Besides, don't waste your time and angst. Most SUVs and other new vehicles these days have 'run flat' tyres. You never need to change a tyre today. You just drive to a servo and pump them up again.
