I agree that MacOS seems to be missing some basics out of the box. Especially the lack of native support for tiling windows was annoying to me as well. I'm using https://rectangleapp.com (the free version) now for this, which works well for me.
Old man rails at world because a different computer operating system works differently than the one he's used to. News at 11:00...
FWIW, I've been using Linux for the last 30 years or so - since it came on a root/boot floppy disk (though I think it was the high-density 1.44MB ones, tbh it's too long ago to remember). MacOS is the best unix workstation, hands down - the competition isn't even close - that money can buy IMHO. It's not perfect by any stretch (what is ?) but home-brew fixes most of the deficiencies.
yep, i actually gave my m1 away and picked up a framework laptop and back to linux. I wanted to try the m1 which is really awesome, but I can't use this OS
