I assume taiwan exports faster chips to china. What prevents china to help out a friend in need? (I.e. Re export to russia)
Like re-exports don't exist already...
This is clever. Most chips tsmc sells are low speed, low power random ICs needed for misc parts of the board. It allows them to appear to be doing good while maintaining a valuable market.

It might actually do some good too. I imagine the critical components for weapon systems are the high speed processors. Imagine getting the tank or missile 99% built but all the important stuff is missing.
