Or, as I mentioned in the article, you can pick a Surface which is just as good hardware and actually run Linux today. It even comes with a built-in stand and a has a good keyboard.
I own a Surface. It idles at a convenient 55 Celsius when I've got nothing open, so it's not exactly what I'd call a "Linux champ".
Maybe Windows 11 and WSL would make it idle at a lower temp. I don't remember mine being that hot.
I have no intention to make a Microsoft account.
Thats more than fair enough.
