Tell HN: Anger and Frustration
The source builds of GHC are broken since 9.2.1
It seems that it cannot see the template-haskell package bundled with the compiler used for bootstrapping, and yes, I have downloaded binary distribution to be sure.
We have to somehow curb ill thought changes by virtue signalling narcissistic assholes.
And yes, I wish to express my anger and frustration in these particular terms.

[ 2.1 ms ] story [ 8.1 ms ] threadI am not familiar with that particular project, but I know the feeling of being angry a project I care about is being ruined by evil people.
I also know what it's like to feel the chilling effect of censorship, followed by the reaction to the emotional whiplash of the psychic check raise of someone like myself simply stating their opinions loud and proud, and challenging anyone who disagrees to call the police, or go ahead and shoot me.
And to be clear: the last time I expressed my anger fully, they named the woman on the other end of that encrypted line a senior military adviser, had a protest outside the Mayor's house which was violently attacked, and members of the group protesting because the staff of the new mayor.
(I'm trying to keep it local. Fuck the feds, if you can't learn the norms after ten year, go back to your home state or California)
I'm a troll - when I show up in real life, it often means I think people are about to start shooting, and I might have to personally stop them.
I'm from a place where they used to beat us bloody for doing finger guns at a teacher -- now I look them in the eye as horrible things happen, as if to say "You didn't consent, so I won't step in. You're getting what you asked for. Don't complain, or I'll tell you to get in the ground with Jeffrey Epstein if you don't like what you see on your precious TV."
Despite the above, I'm trying to be less of an edgelord -- someone reached out offline and told me that doing things when I was younger like putting the image of a dead Persian protester into a slide deck and stating "This is what they want to do to us, this is why we need to build better anonymity tools" in the end of class lecture at a university I hacked my way into attending despite not being a student was traumatizing and rude.
Express your anger if you want, in my opinion. Just don't bear false witness.
Propaganda is the selective telling of truths -- violate that norm, and you'll experience as close to hell as you can in this life. (IMHO)
