One thing I noticed was that it began to stutter slightly once I built up a mildly complex melody. Nothing on my side seemed overly maxed out resource wise (<2% CPU, <1% memory usage) and I didn't dive in to the code to see what's up but the jitter/lag/stutter kinda ruined the 'groove'
Thanks, I'm glad you had fun! I'll have to look into that. Do you remember if there were a lot of beats in your pattern or if the tempo was really fast or anything? And what platform were you using it on?
Yes, there were a lot of beats (from memory) I used 3 or 4 'drum instruments?' per block with all blocks including a drum beat except the last two and most included two or three 'instruments' per block. Tested using FF 91.10 ESR on Linux Mint 20.3. Altering the tempo didn't have any impact. HTH.

- When you hit the spacebar, start from the beginning.
- When you draw a note while the song is playing, don't play the note.
