You mean the lardass emoji? Joking aside I guess it makes sense that any modifier should be combinable with the bases. Technically at least, it makes sense. On the other hand there has to be some semantic meaning to it, which "pregnant man" doesn't have. I can't make a "pregnant flag" or a "male waving hand".

Edit: zach_garwood yes but only one gender. There is no more semantic meaning to "pregnant man" then "male flag".

But flags don't have genders, and pregnant people usually do.
Emojis were a Unicode mistake.
Nope, I don't buy it. There are rules to what emoji you can and can't combine. I can't combine "White Flag" + "Dark Skin Tone" to get "Dark Skin Tone Flag", even though that would sort of make sense. I can't combine "Fire Hydrant" + "Male Gender" because that makes absolutely no sense. Emojis are a limited system where we have made explicit decisions to allow some things and not other things.

Even though 99% of the world operates under a definition where men do not have uteruses and cannot get pregnant, the committee has decided to allow that.

There is absolutely no political motivation or agenda here. It is completely logical that a pregnant man emoji should exist. In fact, the pregnant man emoji is so inevitable that it would be absurd if it did not exist. I am so thankful that the international unicode consortium has nothing but love and benevolence for all of mankind.
We also need "Parent 1" and "Parent 2" emojis. Quite big missing ones at the moment.
