In the last week alone, I explained to a dozen people that "DALL E" and "DALL E 2" (by ClosedAI) and "DALL E Mini" (by Dayma et al) are not related, besides both using broadly similar technologies for TextToImage.

using the first name was a mistake in opinion, although we can't be too harsh on them, as they probably didn't anticipate this level of popularity
