It is good to put thought into this but I don't believe Covid 19 vaccine can be mandated. It is not even close to a difficult decision in regards to liberty. Not with short lived nature of induced or "natural" immunity.
Some people don't seem to get Covid or noticeable symptoms while others are ill with their 3rd infection already despite having received 3 doses of vaccination. That makes this case quite clear in my opinion and I would strongly oppose any form of mandate.
I would have stated criticism about mandating a Covid vaccine with even stronger assertions. The mandate for health care workers needs to be withdrawn and harmonized with similar mandates for other vaccines in healthcare in regards to the threat that Covid-19 poses. This is not a time to discuss this politically as many now have to justify lockdowns and other measures which makes neutral political arguments difficult.

[ 3.3 ms ] story [ 27.7 ms ] threadIndeed, if the goal were immunity, the recommendation to recognize the utility of natural immunity would be sensible.
However, since the mandates aren't about immunity, the paper's argument is meaningless.
The goal of vaccination mandates is somewhat other.
