Ask HN: What profession do you wish was more represented here?

Often times a topic that is somewhat obscure will pop up and make it to the front page. Lots of people will comment, but sometimes - not always - there isn't someone with actual domain knowledge to comment on how exactly said topic works. In that vein, what domain or profession do you wish had more representation on HN?

Testers. There are discussions about testing, quality and related tools but not enough professional testers to give proper reference.

Not 100% sure but I think I am one of very few here that is in Tech Support not Engineering.

Yes I get the sense that we in IT are definitely one of the minority professions here. I think I migrated over here sometime in the early 2010s when Slashdot was on its way to irrelevance. I have a general interest in innovation, technology, and studied some computer science in school, so the subjects discussed here are of more interest to me than say, /r/sysadmin.

Along the way I've also taught myself a number of programming languages to a crude level of proficiency, which has actually been a force multiplier in my role, even as a non-developer. Increasingly these cloud SaaS apps I am have responsibility for managing include barely any built-in administration tools and functions and instead it is up to you to build your own tools using their API.

Im just good at learnign new things relatively fast and well enought to answer peoples questions nad find solutions.

So now somehow I do borderline developer support. Which has now pushed me to finally learn coding.. I mean if Im already giving support to devs, why not become one....

It's interesting how many new SaaS and other tech which has admin and upkeep as a mere after thought. Not to mention documentation, which the engineers and dves I speak to for some reason harbour a deep seated resentment against writing.... which I dont get that part.... why?
