Poll: Are You Skilled at Dev or Ops or a DevOps (Unicorn)?

One comment inspired me to ask this pool. I'd like to know what is the distribution of unicorns between HN crowd.

> In my experience and opinion, developers are really bad at ops and sysadmins/ops are really bad a development. Anyone that is truly good at both is a unicorn that is probably carrying their team.

Why do your SW engineers need to do so much ops work that knowing it makes them "carry the team"? The best programmers I know - who are carrying their teams - don't know any ops whatsoever, and don't have any need for it.
I think the comment does not mean that you need to know dev and ops very well to carry your team, but that's a hint at a very good and skilled person (unicorn) who probably carries his team. I don't think its meant exclusively to be only good if you know everything.
This is correct. I don't really know why I included the statement at all. It certainly doesn't apply to me. If I was half as good at software development as I am at ops/sre, I'd be making a lot more money as a dev.
I couldn't find the option of "Dev & Ops (Sorta mediocre at both)" ;)
