Ask HN: uBlock Origin Filters for WSJ?

2 points by react_burger38 ↗ HN
I used to really like the WSJ, and am a paid subscriber, but recently they put up some script that makes me disable my adblocker. Anyone have a way to get around that with uBlock origin or anything else? Some of the ads are very annoying.

Search the article url on https://archive.today/ - most are already archived, read the archived copy.

If not archived, then archive it, then read the archived copy.

Prepend "https://archive.is/" to the url see if it has been added.

I use the following as a bookmarklet:

     javascript:(function(){window.location="https://archive.is/"+window.location;})();
The FAQ has some other tips that are useful:

You should contact them and ask to remove the script, or you will unsubscribe. If no one tells them, they cannot justify internally to remove the script.
