The key point that’s missing in this article is that you should not accept the first offer. Don’t decline it, either; go back and ask for more. Why isn’t this in his article? It seems really basic and fundamental to me.
I think that, the author is focus on the strategy, but not tactic. He mention more about the important of understanding your own value system and which position the salary is in this system. How to increase your value in current company instead of finding others.
