The terminal improvements are worth their weight.

"Recent folders" is going to be very useful. So is command history.

The other thing worth the love is "disable notifications", and the merge conflict tool.

Why do they waste space in the header bar for a search bar, you can see microsoft windows team infesting them

This would have been smarter to put tabs there, do people like this poor use of space?

screens have more width, not more height..

It takes up unused space, I don't see what's wrong. You already have tabs just below it.
the next logical move is not to put a search bar, but to increase the code view by moving tabs to the top bar, just like it happened with browsers
That's true, you should put in a feature request.
You can also disable tabs entirely. I wish I could bear that, but I use tabs all the time for splitting with the mouse.
When will there be an iPad version?
I doubt it will be, considering that it's Electron.
Useful, but not quite the same.

Can connect to SSH though, with environments on the other end, which I have not tried yet but seem useful.

That new merge looks fantastic, much clearer about what's going on ( not that the existing one was bad, but as an occasional user, completely separate windows are easier to track than different colours in one, and I don't have to keep reminding myself which change is which. )
Love the 3 window merge approach to merge conflicts. The old approach wasn't the best as it could be a bit confusing, but this is fantastic!
Maintenance question: I am on a Mac and it seems VS Code seems to be chugging slower - is there a way to find the previous installed versions and safely remove them?
