Ask HN: Non-money lovers, what do you hope to achieve for retirement?

I worry more about loving money than making money. I am 50 and just paid my mortgage off. I have a year's worth of salary in savings. In 17 years I will get a UK state pension and then some.

Does anyone coming from a similar perspective have a framework for saving? In particular what you hope to achieve for retirement?

Won't be there for a while yet. However, I want to be in a point in my career where I can move from doing to teaching. Bestow upon the next generation the lessons that I will have accumulated by then.
