Why do so many web news articles not have a date in title?

I wonder the same, even youtube now does this, it hides the date when something was created/uploaded.

My guess it keeps people reading the article.

This is an example that appears quite often.

"Top 10 tips to make your python code runs faster" against "Top 10 tips to make your python code runs faster 2006"

Just another SEO magic trick, not knowing article date increase chances that someone will click -> impressions -> advertisers are happy -> publishers gets paid -> end user doesn't matter for getting old and most of the time outdated info
