[ 8.8 ms ] story [ 200 ms ] threadThe one that I loved was the tablet / whiteboard projector. Like a wacom tablet and I could walk around and teach from the rear of the class when appropriate. However, most of the teachers struggled using it because you look at the wall and not your hand when writing.
In the end, the best tech is a decent whiteboard. Uhg. I've become the former generation.
I think the most effective thing would be to ensure a "1-to-1" student/device ratio, which the pandemic has inadvertently helped happen -- at least in the US, by and large. Every kid has a computer. Schools just need to budget appropriately to replenish those devices when they hit end-of-life. A large portion of the (any) population has no computer at home.
Do that first, then worry about implementing programs for hard skills (Career Technical Education, electronics, robotics, programming, CAD, automotive, Maker, etc), then make sure kids have appropriate meals, and then finally, if you have any money left over, bring in the whiz-bang tech.
