The problem is having a 100k machine sitting idle for most of its life. Cars as a personal property is very inefficient.
True, but people who are OK with waiting for public transport have all self-selected by moving to or staying in cities that provide these services.
Guess you should throw out all those computers then... I'm sure you're not running them at full capacity all the time!
EV price should include a battery/charging station. Obviously.
And installation of said battery/charging station by a licensed electrician. This is not a DIY project.
There's no way I could charge a car at my house. It's only accessible by a narrow alley that goes to the street between two other houses. Of course, where I live, I only actually need a car once in a while. I have a car, and when it finally dies, we probably won't replace it. Just not worth the expense.
