Submitted because a news article portraying book burning in a positive light was very unexpected.

“Where one burns books, there one eventually burns people.” - Heinrich Heine, probably referring only to books that you like, so it does not apply in this case.

In case you want to read it, one of the books they are burning seems to be "Life and Labor in the Old South" by Ulrich Bonnell Phillips [1].
