We took part in the Y Combinator Startup School this summer, and after their recommendations we are now doing a soft launch - take a look at our website and stay in touch if you think what we are building is for you. Below is our ‘why’.
Sales meetings can be overwhelming, especially if you are involved in complex or scientific sales requiring deep product knowledge. Even more so, if you are doing business development - identifying target market segments, looking for first users, best conferences to attend, designing the sales process, etc. Plenty of questions to ask and information to carry in your head. Add to this many meetings one after another every day and/or meetings in different time zones and you can quickly end up swamped.
To address this challenge, we are building a digital notebook with personal assistance aimed towards sales and business development professionals. Fresh CEOs, founders, and people delegated to do sales in young startups and without prior experience in selling will find it very useful too. First, you will be able to to take quick notes, without missing a critical detail, and without compromising the social aspect of the meeting. Second, if you get stuck or are not sure how or what to ask (next), it will guide you. Finally, crucial information such as on the product or competitors will be available at a click of a button. That's just to start with - automatic email generator, useful statistics and customer insights, and more will come later too.
If the above resonates with you - do stay in touch. You can sign up to our newsletter here: www.alphasales.ai or just drop me an email: michal@alphasales.ai
What are the features of the notebook? Or... what are the input methods for taking quick notes?
And what is the "assistance"? Is this like, reminding you of who you were speaking to in which meeting?
Not going to really ask about data collection policies since it seems like early days here, but could you elaborate on what the software actually does?
First, you will be able to to take quick notes via various methods of selection such as checkbox or toggles so without compromising the social aspect of the meeting. Second, if you get stuck or are not sure how or what to ask (next), it will guide you via prompts and pop ups ('assistance'). Finally, crucial information such as on the product or competitors will be available at a click of a button. That's just to start with more will come later too. In a nutshell, the software will enable you to gather and save the data, store it, recall it, and analyse it. Data collection policies will be partially handled via integrations with common CRMs.
Let me know if I answered your questions.
Also, may I ask if you are asking out of curiosity, potentially interested, or something else?
Interesting. I was really just curious... I haven't encountered any in-meeting sales software before, and it wasn't clear from the website what it would actually do.

Thanks for asking!
