In case the title prematurely swayed you, dear reader: "Despite the challenges, many of those who have taken part in the scheme say staff already seem happier and more motivated. Productivity has also improved in many cases."

I had a bit of a dig but there's no formal results out yet.

Indeed, it had the smell of a hit piece but in my defence the title I used is the same title as the original article :)
If my company instituted a 4 day work week, on my first new day off I would be applying to work at a 5-day company.
I'm curious - why? Is it the potentially longer hours on the 4 days you're in, or something else? The extra day could be used for hobbies, working out/going outdoors, spending family time, etc...?
I genuinely enjoy work? It gives me purpose?

I currently spend time with my family, We go outdoors, and I have hobbies. Not sure why this isn’t possible with a 40 hour work week?

I’m not sure what to say other than I like to work and would enjoy more, not less of it. I would also be concerned that my 4-day work week company was losing to competitors who are not reducing their output by 20%.

And I don’t buy the argument that less time spent working will Increase productivity. This is just… no lol.
