What Holds You Back?

Curious about what things keep developers or other entrepreneur-curious folks from starting a business.

Money, or lack thereof.
Well there is 'intrapreneur', a term I recently learned where you technically still are an entrepreneur, you just don't own the company, but can still make bank, depending on what company it is, and their pay.
I don't want to. Why is the assumption that starting a business is the default option and if you aren't doing it you're being held back?
Having to go to work and having 2 kids -> no energy and time in the evening.
Bureaucracy, a horrible tax system in the Nordics and the risk of failing.
I don’t have the capital, social capital or ideas worth monetizing (plenty of ideas though)
I'd rather take the time to make the right moves over flash-in-the-pan attempts. As the saying goes, "measure twice, cut once". I'd like to do some preliminary work up front as there will be plenty to learn along the way. I want my attempts to be deliberate and focused although some prefer visible work over methodical, slow, and non-flashy efforts.

Success can look a number of ways. I've heard of a case where two people were in preparation of filing a patent, and they were able to sell for $1B+ USD. Sufficient research and practice is the key to success, and I've got time :)
