Ask HN: How to Improve Typing Accuracy?

I've realised accuracy is the limiting factor in my coding workflow. I type with all four fingers to some degree, index fingers probably doing about twice too many keystrokes. What is the most efficient way to decrease error rate? Focus on improving typing technique? Change equipment? Drills?

You are most likely trying to type too fast. Focus on your technique and then, try to type faster once you feel comfortable. In any case, how fast you type is rarely what limits your coding skills.

Thanks for that, giving it a shot and quickly realising that being not able to fix mistakes, typewriter style and seeing my shame all over the screen during a drill I reckon is going to be a big help
