PSA: SuperMicro A2SDICH 1.7 is bricking systems (i.imgur.com)

Upgraded my SM board to A2SDICH 1.7 and it no longer supports external-drive booting. There is no fallback from SM. If anyone has inadvertently upgraded, downgrading to 1.6 (not found anywhere on the SM site) resolves the issue.
