I wrote this one back in 2020 before Dall-e and GPT-3 came out but I guess it's more relevant now so decided to share it. It's my first try in writing a short story.
Anyone who’s into AI art should read Neuromancer and Count Zero. The latter is more relevant to the topic but will be confusing without the first book.
In my opinion, stories that assume the existence of basilisks [0] that work on humans (biologically normal ones who don't have brain implants or anything like that) fall into the realm of fantasy, not science fiction.
