Ask HN: What's a low-friction video editor?

I'd like to start making little video tutorials and I'm for the lookout for a simple video editor. Is there something along the lines of Canva, but for longer videos (Canvas video editor seems to aim for sub-minute videos)

descript is the best tool i’ve ever used for this.
iMovie on my iPhone is pretty low friction for me.

Kdenlive always takes me a few hours to get into a groove, but honestly for any sustained project, a few hours at the start is nothing.

Friction occurs between two surfaces. I have learned that usually, my knowledge skills and abilities are the rougher surface generating most of the friction.

YMMV. Good luck.

I was a little apprehensive at first but warmed up to Kdenlive; while it's very powerful I found it easy to do the simple edits I wanted to do and when I wanted to try something more advanced it was easier than I expected. It's free and OSS so you really haven't go much to lose if you want to take it for a spin.
I've used Kdenlive in the past to make some simple videos (I have no experience whatsoever) and managed to quickly produce something; it does the job, it's lightweight, free and was intuitive for what I needed at the time.
