Ask HN: HN like website but for other fields

Looking for websites similar to HN but that are focused on other fields (e.g. biology, geopolitics, …).

The articles and comments on HN are great but I have not found something similar for other fields.

I don't think HN dislike any particular field, you can easily find interesting articles and discussions here about biology or geopolitics.

It's mainly about IT, not exclusively

My take is that to a first approximation:

  HN = the_HN_for_X

YMMV.
