"Chopped up N*g#rs" was a puzzle game from board game leader McLoughlin Brothers in 1875. Puzzle features a fleeing African American minstrel caricature ringing a bell. It's a rare collector's item that sells for four thousdands of dollars. It boggles my mind to think this game even exists, much less that it was from a very popular game manufacturuer and thus, probably found its way into countless American homes.

Does it, though? Remember that this was only a couple of decades after half the country was willing to kill the other half or die trying to keep black people enslaved.

Underestimating the viciousness and stupidity of people will always leave you surprised and disappointed.
