No connection to the car's systems is needed; so nothing in the car is likely to help. Not in the sense of a "check engine" idjit light, anyhow. "sniffer" sensors for explosives exist, but they don't cover all the possible chemicals and your car carries a good amount of potentially explosive fuel with it anyway.

This is something you should be discussing with your security provider and not asking on forums on the internet.
