The price seems… hefty for a tool that only imports transactions, especially when tools like YNAB are 100$ and importing transactions (also with Plaid) is just a small feature in sea of other features
The price started at $5/month when I first launched, and slowly went up to where it is now, $8/month or $79/year. Roughly half of my customers sign up for the annual subscription. I have no plans to increase it any further than this.

My paying customers are very happy when Plaid works for their bank. Churn has not increased since raising my prices, and new seasonal signups have not slowed down either. Spreadsheet people love the deep integration directly into their Spreadsheet and are happy to pay for it. Maybe you are not the target customer here?

Since people are using it only once per year doesn’t it makes more sense to make the pricing per transaction rather than subscription? Or maybe have a lifetime subscription plan?
I think you misread and/or misinterpreted the post. People use it all year round, have it fetch transactions nightly, etc. My *new signups* are seasonal.
