Show HN: Make Any CLI into a GUI in Acme (github.com)
Hey HN.
I've become enamored with the Acme editor. It's fascinating because it turns the Vim paradigm on its head: instead of maximizing your use of the keyboard, maximize your use of the mouse.
I think this helps optimize for information management, as opposed to text manipulation.
I realized a lot of the CLIs I use have the same structure, and with a small program I could convert them into GUIs inside Acme and make them much easier to use.
Let me know what you think.

[ 3.3 ms ] story [ 18.3 ms ] threadFor example, many tech illiterate people want to download a youtube video so they can use it for personal use or import it into video editing software and incorporate it into a video of their own, many online sites like y2mate have lots of deceptive ad's all around the page, moreover when you press "download" it opens a new tab to an unrelated website and downloads an ISO file (which is straight up malware). Also these websites don't allow max speed downloads and it takes longer and don't offer things like embedded subtitles.
Therefore they could use GUI software like YT-DLG, however this is very buggy and often breaks + it doesn't provide parameters that YT-DL/P provide due to the nature of how the GUI is built
Therefore something like this is perfect
