What was really cool was how efficiently stores those wings could be when not being used. The wings are so thing and delicate looking that you can see through them, yet they are strong enough to get the insect airborn
The 3-legged stance was interesting, I wonder why they do it. One idea that I had was that it could make detecting if you're in air already more consistent than with 4 legs. Or maybe the surface tension at these scales is so high that it pays of to reduce it by 25% before the flight by these strange poses?
