Stock Yandex Maps app can show the public transport directly on the map with a push of one button, in cities where it has that info.

I remember Google Maps also having real-time information about public transport but I'm not sure if it can display actual buses on the map.

Meanwhile this one seems HN-flooded.

This is awesome. Love that there are also e-scooters included. Would be cool to see which provider the e-scooter belongs to, but anyway... I miss my hometown from time to time. <3

I wanted to do something similar however, I could not find the Real time API. Where do you get the data?

There is a not yet public API. But there's a law in Germany that should make this kind of data available in a central "Mobilithek".

Mobilitätsdatenverordnung (MDV)

And I think there's even something in the EU on the way.

I only see a blank screen (with a green button "zurück zu KielRegion Mobility") both in Chrome and Firefox?

Not sure if this is slow because of HN load or if my browser is struggling to render all the scooters. Maybe they should be hidden on loading the app.

If you zoom out, you'll see this is not just for a city, but a very broad region, almost the entire state of Schleswig-Holstein. Cool, but scooters should probably be disabled from loading as well until requested.
